The Licking County Information Technology Services Department is hiring a Network Administrator to manage applications, enforce policies, and configure hardware/software solutions to support and secure the county’s voice and data network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Senior Network Administrator on server architecture, consolidation, and network security
- Conduct audits, log reviews, and assist departments with security compliance and questionnaires
- Manage secure access (VPNs, Wi-Fi), user accounts (Active Directory), and system maintenance
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT hardware and software across departments
- Monitor and optimize network/server performance and apply firmware/software updates
- Implement layered security controls (antivirus, URL filtering, etc.)
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation
- Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support when needed and document resolutions
- Stay current with safety, cybersecurity practices, and attend regular training
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience/training (or equivalent combination)
- Valid driver’s license
Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept.):
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and knowledge of network protocols/design
- Ability to execute incident response plans and analyze SIEM/log data
- Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, and MFA systems
