The Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing janitorial services in County buildings. This includes maintaining a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning, special projects, and assisting in the general upkeep of facilities.
Responsibilities
- Clean floors (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing)
- Sanitize and restock restrooms
- Wash doors, windows, trash bins, and various surfaces
- Collect and remove trash and recyclables
- Maintain meeting rooms and office cleanliness
- Monitor and report cleaning supply levels
- Report building maintenance issues
- Follow job safety requirements and OSHA standards
- Attend training and stay informed of current procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years of related janitorial experience preferred
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Physically able to lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50+ lbs occasionally
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Experience with floor stripping/waxing equipment preferred
- Flexibility to work Saturdays when needed
