Position Description

The Licking County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking a qualified Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for its Felony Division, with a specialization in prosecuting Child Sexual and Physical Assault cases. The successful candidate will handle felony-level prosecution, assist law enforcement with legal processes, and be committed to justice for vulnerable victims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prosecute felony cases, with a primary focus on child sexual and physical assault
  • Collaborate with law enforcement for arrest and search warrant preparation
  • Handle court coverage, motion practice, and trial strategy
  • Participate in the preparation and conduct of jury trials
  • Provide victim advocacy in sensitive cases

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio
  • Jury trial experience, preferably in special victim prosecution
  • Strong passion and aptitude for working on child-related assault cases
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Westlaw, and other Windows-based applications
  • Flexibility to work a four-day, 10-hour work week
