Position Description
The Account Clerk 2 is responsible for auditing child support financial cases to ensure accurate account balances and support amount modifications. Duties include determining arrearages/futures, testifying in court, and serving as an employer liaison for income wage withholding orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit financial transactions and child support cases
- Analyze court documents to calculate arrears/obligations
- Review ADC benefits and perform disbursement calculations
- Serve as liaison for employers (withholding order processing)
- Track payments in accordance with federal/state guidelines
- Interact with obligees/obligors and provide public support
- Testify in court on arrearage calculation methods
- Handle clerical duties and coordinate Third-Party Network (TPN) changes
- Act as backup for payment window and phone payment handling
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent math, organization, and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and general computer operations
- Typing ability and capacity to multitask
- Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping
- Banking experience is a plus
